Incumbent City Councillor supports legalizing E-Scooters in Toronto

The Toronto E-Scooter Network endorses Councillor Paul Ainslie and four other candidates

September 8, 2022 – Toronto – Paul Ainslie, city councillor for Ward 24 – Scarborough-Guildwood supports legalizing the use of E-Scooters in Toronto. He is the first councillor to oppose the 2021 ban on E-Scooters.

“We are excited that councillor Ainslie supports making E-Scooters legal in Toronto and encourage all E-riders in Ward 24 to support him,” said Andy Kim, President of the Toronto E-Scooter Network.

The Toronto E-Scooter Network also endorsed four other candidates running In this fall’s Toronto civic election:

  • Axel Arvizu in University-Rosedale – Ward 11
  • Daryl Christoff in Don Valley North – Ward 17
  • Andrew Layman in University-Rosedale – Ward 11
  • Caroline Murphy in Toronto Centre – Ward 13
